Biography

Eleni has been working as a senior economist at the HCMC since 2003, and has prior experience in banking and finance. She is responsible primarily for reviewing Prospectuses when securities are offered to the public and/or admitted to trading, and is a member of HCMC’s working group on ESG issues. She also represents the HCMC at the Joint Committee Sub-Committee on Consumer Protection and Financial Innovation of the European Supervisory Authorities, providing technical advice mainly on the areas of Sustainable Finance, PRIIPs and Financial Education.

She has been a member of Greece’s delegation at the EU Council’s Working Party on Financial Services for the proposal on EU Green Bond Standard Regulation and the proposal on Prospectus Regulation.

She holds a BSc in International and European Economic Studies from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a MSc in International Financial Markets from the University of Southampton, UK.
